Zinc Sulfide (ZnS) is an infrared transmitting material with homogeneity of refractive index. It has excellent performance in image transmission between 8-12μm, and has high transmission performance in infrared band. But absorb and dispersion will enhance when the wavelength get short.
The Zinc Sulfide Delfa use is a sort of inert material which is insoluble in water. Due to its high purity, moderate density and easy to be processed, Zinc Sulfide is widely used in infrared windows, domes and other infrared components.
